Writing and Design

Press Kits

We've built our reputation on writing strong, simple, fact-oriented press kits.  Take Note! Promotion does not believe in "hype" – we don't like it, and have yet to meet someone who does.  We take time and care to discover and feature your strengths and accomplishments, creating new or enhancing old materials with graphics custom-tailored to your product or artist identity.  Start with a simple one-page bio, or go for a complete, eye-catching press kit that's sure to impress!  Contact us for samples and references.

Branding

We design band and artist logos, letterhead, brochures, posters, flyers, buckslips, stickers, etc.  We can arrange the design and manufacturing of T-shirts, banners, hats, mugs, pens – whatever you can print a logo on!

Web Sites

Take Note! Promotion can design your website, including sound files.  We can incorporate your existing logo and kit design to create a complete package consistent with your artist identity, or provide you with a completely new and different presence on the web.  Hassle-free web hosting, domain registration and online distribution can be arranged through us, as well as website maintenance.  From simple and stylish home pages to advanced graphics, we design packages for any purpose and budget.  Ask for samples and references.

Grants

We consult on, and help prepare and submit applications for recording, performing, writing, video, touring, marketing and artist grants.

Other

Press releases, newsletters, mailings, announcements and correspondence – if it comes via paper or pixel, it can be a part of Take Note! Promotion's writing and design services, just ask!

Consultations

Take Note! Promotion's consultations are geared towards acoustic musicians of all genres (as well as musical organizations).
This is a great option for people who are still deciding whether they should take the plunge and hire a publicist, or just do the work themselves.

We'll thoroughly review and critique your existing promotional materials, and make some editing suggestions.  We'll "interview" you to get a better sense of what you're about, and what your goals are, then we'll meet with you to discuss publicity options, give suggestions on promotional ideas and possible career direction, and help you develop a plan to spread the word about your music.

Having spent a full lifetime (and even some fetus time) in the music business – in performance, management, publishing, publicity, recording, composition, teaching, concert presenting and more, throughout several musical genres – owner Alyssa Wright has a wide and varied experience to share, as do her colleagues.
